The Kangaroo Penny coin was designed by George Kruger Gray in 1938 and was used in circulation until 1966. The coin was minted from 1938 through to 1964 with the exception of 1946 and 1954. For the years where the coin was not minted, a Commemorative Dial Medallion will be available for those years and also for the years from 1965 to present. A Commemorative Dial Medallion is a beautiful replica of the genuine Australian iconic coin.
