PRODUCT STORY:
Ernest had been a bus driver for 37 years but when the laws changed and his inspector told him he could no longer smoke his cigar on the bus, Ernest decided it was time to call it a day. He was prepared to give up his short pants and knee-high white socks but he just couldn’t accept the idea of having to give up his love of fine Cuban cigars. Over the years he’d befriended countless regular passengers. Some were now elderly and couldn’t get around like they used to so Ernest had a brainstorm one afternoon when flicking through the classifieds and noticed a beautiful tri-plane at an irresistible price. “Flying a triplane can’t be any more difficult than driving a bus”, exclaimed Ernest, “and the three wings will triple my chances of staying airborne”. Since he could puff away leisurely on his smelly cigar, high in the sky where he couldn’t bother anyone, what better way could there be to travel from home to home visiting his old friends. What occurred next even surprised old Ernest. Once up high in the sky in the fresh air he found he no longer desired a lit cigar and was quite content just to bite it between his teeth. Ernest can now be seen every Tuesday trailing the Quit-line number behind his tri-plane….and everyone is happy….except the Cuban cigar makers.
