This desk clock is an exact reproduction of a 1930s Art Deco propeller clock designed by an airplane engineer at a time when aluminum was only used for engines and small parts. This clock is handcast airplane aluminum, polished. Battery included.
During the first world war between 1914-18, trench art became popular. Gifted army personnel and soldiers handcrafted lighters and clocks in all shapes and sizes, using materials such as hand bullet shells, wood and fabric.
