This coin watch has a genuine Australian Kangaroo Penny coin featured as the dial face of the watch. Each coin watch is individually assembled and fitted with a genuine circulated Kangaroo Penny coin which is fitted into the unique dial of the watch. Select a specific year for your coin watch to commemorate a special occasion.
The coin watch is understatedly unique, with a masculine look, striking a balance between polished and brushed stainless steel, and deliberate clean lines. The coin watch dial face is complemented by a black upper dial with easy to read white numbers and hour markers. The watch has a stainless steel case and bracelet with folding lock clasp. A precision Swiss quartz analogue movement will provide years of reliable time keeping.
The Australian Kangaroo Penny was designed by George Kruger Gray in 1938 and the coin was used in circulation until 1966. The coin was minted from 1938 through to 1964 with the exception of 1946 and 1954. For the years where the coin was not minted and for years from 1965 through to present, a Commemorative Dial Medallion will be used instead.
You can select a genuine silver Kangaroo Penny coin or a commemorative dial medallion for your coin watch. If you choose a year where the coin was not minted, the watch will be fitted with a Commemorative Dial Medallion with your chosen year. The dials are beautiful replicas of the original iconic coins.
