The watch has gold plated highlights with hour markers around the bezel and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. A precision Swiss quartz analogue movement will provide years of reliable time keeping.
A genuine florin coin is featured as the dial face: The coat of arms design shows a shield representing each state with a kangaroo and emu chosen because neither animal can walk backwards supporting the slogan ‘Advance Australia’.
You can choose a special year to commemorate an occasion. The florin is available for years from 1930 through to 1963*. The florin was not minted in 1930, 1937, 1939, 1948, 1949, 1950 and 1955. If you choose a year that was not minted, your watch wil be fitted with a Commemorative Dial Medallion. A Commemorative Dial Medallion is available for all the years the coin was not minted and also for years from 1964 to the present. The Commemorative Dial Medallion is a beautiful replica of the iconic Australian florin.
