Galileo Thermometer 11 Blue Silver

This Galileo thermometer is a thermometer made of a sealed glass cylinder containing a clear liquid. Floating within the cylinder are 11 blue balls with silver coloured tags of varying mass. As the temperature changes, the individual floats rise or fall according to their respective weights and the density of the surrounding liquid.

The thermometer is named after Italian physicist Galileo Galilei who discovered the principle on which the thermometer is based - that the density of a liquid changes in proprtion to its temperature. The temperature range of this thermometer is 18-27 degree centigrade, in 1 degree graduation.
