Mario was creative, as proven with his blimp
Hot air and gas kept him afloat, on fuel he could not skimp

As gas prices were on the up, in this once great brown land
He sources fuel from elsewhere, so flights would not be canned

Baked beans had been his favourite, since he was just a lad
But cabbage, sprouts and cauliflower, were really not his fad

He’d scoff them down each hour, or two before a flight
To enable him to power up, and break with all his might

And if you now look closely, as he’s spread across his blimp
You’ll see his shirt tails rising, they’re upright see; not limp

So here’s to our great Mario, inventor of a kind
To cabbage, sprouts and other things, of gas that come to mind
