Holden EH Panel Van Model with Surfboards

The Holden EH was produced by General-Motors-Holden in Australia back in the 1960s. The Holden EH is a model car collectors item -the Holden EH was released in August 1963, replacing the Holden EJ series and it was the first Holden to incorporate the new 'Red' motor with 7 main bearings as opposed to the 'Grey' motor with only 4 bearings. The Holden EH also had a larger capacity of 149ci (2400cc) or 179ci (2900cc). These motors were attached to "three speed" manual or "Hydramatic" three speed automatic transmissions with a column gear shifter. The three speed manual (column shift) gear box had no synchromesh on first gear so the driver had to be proficient in double de-clutching or riding second gear at slow speed. The Holden EH was later replaced by the Holden HD series.

The Holden EH range was available in a number of different models at its time - the Standard Sedan and the Standard Station Sedan, the Special Sedan and the S4 Special Sedan, the Premier Sedan and Premier Station Sedan, the Utility and also the Panel Van.
