A genuine florin coin features the coat of arms design which shows a shield representing each state with a kangaroo and emu chosen because neither animal can walk backwards supporting the slogan ‘Advance Australia’.
The watch face has numbers printed around the bezel which is protected by the hardened mineral crystal. A precision Swiss quartz analogue movement will provide years of reliable time keeping.
You can choose a special year to commemorate an occasion. The florin is available for years from 1930 through to 1963*. The florin was not minted in 1930, 1937, 1939, 1948, 1949, 1950 and 1955. If you choose a year that was not minted, a Commemorative Dial Medallion will be fitted instead. A Commemorative dial is available in the years stated above and from 1964 to the present. The Commemorative Dial Medallions are beautiful replicas of the genuine iconic coins.
